What the Numbers Show
- Edges shrink with every extra card. AAKK double-suited against a top rundown is 61/39 in PLO and only 54/46 in PLO5.
- Aces need help. Bare aces are a coin flip against JT987, and a strong double-paired hand is the favourite over them.
- The best hand has under two-thirds equity. AAKK double-suited has 63% equity against a random PLO5 hand.

How These Numbers Were Calculated
Each matchup was calculated with the hand evaluator from Handsight’s equity engine by checking every possible board, so the numbers are exact for those cards. A split pot counts as a share of the pot. The “vs a random hand” numbers come from 2 million random deals and are accurate to about ±0.1 percentage points.
Suits matter: the same ranks with different suits can move equity by a point or two. Last calculated .
