Preflop Hand Matchups
These are the approximate equities for common preflop situations in Texas Hold'em. Exact numbers vary slightly depending on suits.
Pair vs Pair

Common Spot Quick Answers
- Flush draw facing a half-pot bet on the flop: You have 35% equity and need 25%. Clear call.
- Gutshot facing a pot-sized bet on the turn: You have 8.7% equity and need 33.3%. Clear fold.
- Open-ended straight draw facing 2/3 pot on the flop: You have 31.5% equity and need 28.6%. Marginal call, but implied odds tip it to a call if stacks are deep.
- Flush draw + gutshot facing a pot-sized bet on the flop: You have 45% equity and need 33.3%. Strong call, consider raising.
